Your personal information

This page says what the restaurant records about you, why, how long we keep it, and how you can ask to see it, correct it, or have it erased. It is written to be read, not to protect us from you.

What we record

When you book a table online: your name, email address, phone number, the date and time you chose, the number of guests, and whatever you write yourself in the notes box — an allergy, an occasion, a high chair. When you enquire about the private room: the same, plus the type of event and your budget if you tell us.

An allergy is health information. You are never required to give it to us: the box is optional, and you can tell us by phone when you arrive. If you do write it, it goes to the kitchen and nowhere else.

Why

To hold your table, send your confirmation and the reminder the day before, reach you if something changes, and cook around what you cannot eat. That is all. We sell nothing to anyone, and your information does not leave the restaurant — except to the service that delivers our email, which handles it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.

Four other services help hold your table and keep the site safe. A text-messaging service receives your phone number the day before your visit, to remind you of the time; reply STOP and it stops. Cloudflare checks, when you submit a form, that the request comes from a person and not a robot: it looks at your browser, not at what you wrote. A monitoring service receives the site's technical errors, from which we first remove any name, email address and phone number. And a backup copy of the booking book is kept for thirty days, encrypted with a key its host does not have. These services may be located outside Quebec.

News and offers

We only send you news if you ticked the box when booking. It starts unticked, and booking a table has never counted as consent. Every message carries a link to stop, which works the first time and asks for no explanation. You can also simply tell us by phone and we will do it for you.

How long

We keep your record for 3 years after your last visit. After that it is erased: the name, address, phone number and notes are gone. What remains is the number of guests and the date, which no longer identify you and let us count our evenings.

What you can ask for

To see everything we hold about you. To have it corrected if it is wrong. To have it erased. To withdraw your consent to news. We have thirty days to answer, and we ask for no justification.

Who to write to

The restaurant has not yet named the person in charge here. In the meantime, write to the address below or call us: your request will be handled the same way.

If our answer does not satisfy you

You may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, which oversees the law and receives complaints.
